Hello!

I'm Lindsey and I've had the privilege of helping people achieve their communication goals for 23 years.

Send me an email at lindseysteneslp@gmail.com if you'd like to learn more about how I can help you improve your communication skills.  I see clients across British Columbia and Alberta.  My sessions are offered online only.

Please read on to learn about my qualifications and experience!

Q: What is your professional background?

A: I have devoted most of my professional life to neurological rehabilitation, where I support individuals who have experienced strokes, brain injuries, Parkinson's disease plus other complex neurological disorders. Over time, I have also developed a professional interest in both voice disorders and accent modification.

  • I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Communication Disorders (San Jose State University) and with an M.Sc. in Speech Language Pathology (University of Alberta)

  • I am a certified provider of Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT LOUD®) with LSVT Global® as well as SPEAK OUT! through the Parkinson Voice Project®

  • I am a trained provider of accent modification coaching

Q: What do you enjoy most about being a speech pathologist?

A: I consider it a privilege to support people through challenging times and help them improve their communication and cognitive-communication skills. I love using my problem solving skills to provide the best care possible and I continually learn and grow from every client I work with. I stay current with best practices in my field and my client's and their families trust that I provide them with the very best care.  Also, I make my sessions enjoyable!

Q: In your opinion, why is clear communication so vital in today's world?

A: Effective communication is absolutely vital. Whether it's for conveying a concept, sharing a laugh, or simply being understood, clear communication is a fundamental building block for happiness. I'm honoured to be able to make a difference in the lives of my clients by helping them in this way.

Q: Beyond your professional pursuits, what are your passions and interests?

A: Outside of my work, I love spending time with my husband and kiddos in the mountains. I enjoy teaching group fitness classes and playing pickleball.
